Body-OdorBody odor is an embarrassing condition that someone can’t expect. It is resulted because of bacteria growth over the body. In the presence of sweat the bacteria growth increases very quickly and it generally affected by what sweat glands emits and if the condition worsens it can also affected the social life. However, the problem of body odor can be sorted out by resorting to home remedies.

Home Remedies for Body Odor

Radish-Take fresh radish and extract juice from it. Also, add a few drops of glycerin in it. Apply the mixture over the feet, underarms and neck and to those areas which are sweat prone area. It controls sweating so it is one of the best home remedies for body odor.

Potato– Take a potato and cut thin slices of it. Rub the slices over the feet, neck and underarms. It will not only keep you cool but also controls the body odor as well as perspiration.

Alcohol– Take some alcohol which is natural and safe and also add white vinegar to it. Application of this mixture proves wonderful for the body odor as it controls excessive sweating.

Water– Water is wonderful gift gifted by god to mankind. One should increase the intake of water if he/she is suffering from body odor. One have to drink about 7-8 glasses of water daily as it keeps you hydrated and thus controls body odor and perspiration.

Rosemary Oil– In a cup of water adds rosemary oil, mix well. Apply the liquid underarms, back, thighs, chest and neck and those parts of body which are more prone to sweating. It is a useful home remedy for body odor and perspiration. You can also use tea tree oil at the place of rosemary if in any case you can’t use it.

Wheat Grass– You can consume 500 mg of wheat grass every day morning with a glass of water with empty stomach as the chlorophyll present in the grass will help in reducing body odor. Also, it is good way to control perspiration.

Turnip (Shalgum)– Take fresh turnip and extract juice from it. Apply to the sweat prone areas of the body as it can control perspiration and body odor. It is a wonder home remedy for body odor.

Tomatoes– Take some fresh tomatoes and extract juice from them. Now, 2 cups of this juice should be added in your bath tub and then took bath with the resulting water or soak you in the water for about 15 minutes. This effective home remedy for body odor will not only make you fresh but also control body odor.


Herbal Tea– Some herbal teas like sage tea are good for limiting body odor as well as perspiration. It is helpful but pregnant women should not consume this tea and in some cases it shows the negative effects.

Baking Soda– Take some baking soda and apply it under your arms, neck area and to the hands because it can control excessive sweating.

Peanut Butter– Apply some fresh peanut butter underarms, hands ,neck and back every night as it can control perspiration and thus body odor. This remedy for body odor is perfect for summer season.

Baby Powder– If you are having heavy sweating then you has to apply moderate amount of baby powder to those areas which have heavy perspiration.

Parsley– Take some parsley and chew it properly with alfalfa and any other leafy green as it will help to neutralize your body because the chlorophyll has deodorant effects.

Rose Water– In your bath tub add about 15-20 drops of rose water as it will help you to get rid of body odor. It also doesn’t need any deodorant usage at regular intervals.
