The most effective remedy is to give your baby warm chicken consommé flavored with garlic, oregano and thyme. This will help your child to alleviate the throat and also enhance the energy to fight against the infection.

If your child is suffering from croup infection then increases the liquids particularly warm liquids such as herbal teas, steamed, distilled water. This is very useful in treating the coups infection and also gives relief to the throat.

It is also important to give diet that is highly rich in vitamin C to your child, as it helps your child to enhance the immune system and also build up energy to fight against this cough. You can also give your child other vitamins to deal with the croup such as zinc, vitamin A and vitamin E.

Also give steamed bath to your child. You just turn on the bath tab valve on; keep them on until the bathroom is steamed up. This will help your child to release the mucus which is making up in your child’s air passage.

Stay in the bathroom for about 15 minutes along with your child to let him breathe the steam. You can also take your child outer surface it helps your child to breath in the cool and fresh air.
